1st Regional Conference on Scientific Research, Development and Innovations (SREDI2008)

10-12 December 2008 in Kigali, Rwanda. Bringing together researchers and practitioners in general and specific fields to discuss their research and development as well as Technological innovation activities.

The overall objective of the conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners in general and specific fields to discuss their research and development as well as Technological innovation activities, and to expose R & D opportunities which will encourage collaboration among researchers and links within the region and even beyond.

The conference is organized in the following nine topical themes. Theme editors and their email addresses are shown in brackets) :

- Conservation, Sustainability and Biodiversity (Tereza Akenga(PhD)) ;
- Securing and Sustaining Energy and Water Resource Base (Prof Longin Minani(PhD)) ;
- Engineering Materials (Maina Maringa (PhD)) ;
- Design, Manufacture and Maintenance Engineering (Jean Damascéne Gatabazi (PhD)) ;
- ICT Research (Etienne Ntagwirumugara(PhD)) ;
- Science & Technology for Development (Désire Karangwa (PhD)) ;
- Mathematics for Environment and Ecology (Prof Amritasu Sinha (PhD)) ;
- Aspects of Biotechnology and Microbial Properties in Public Health Problems (Aberra Geyid(PhD)).

Conference languages : English and French will be the official languages of the Conference.

Instructions for abstract and full paper submission :

Abstracts of 200 - 300 words and including paper title, name(s) of author(s), complete postal and email addresses, and important key words should be sent by e-mail to the theme editor copy to the conference chairman (drpc@kist.ac.rw) before or on 31st May 2008. Full papers of accepted abstracts should be submitted by 31st August 2008.
